2011-2012 Xi Annual Appeal

Dear Brothers,

As you well know, the continued strength and vibrancy of our Brotherhood depends, in large part, on the generous support of our members. Between September 2010 and May 2011, Xi Alumni contributed over $15,000 to the undergraduate operating budget, as well as toward Summer Capital Improvements. Bravo, gentlemen!

During the 2011-2012 academic year, our goal is to raise $25,000.

 

In addition to strengthening the operating budget's ability to absorb inevitable, unexpected expenditures, this ambitious, yet achievable goal reflects two objectives:

 

1) To restore 242 High Street's "historic integrity"

 

    - Historic integrity enables a property to illustrate the significant aspects of its past. In order for the Xi Chapter House to convey its true historical significance, essential physical features of its original period must be restored and emphasized. 2) To strengthen the Xi Endowment

 

    - Institutional self-sustainability and deep loyalty to University are two organizational values which many fraternities fail to harmonize. Through the study of our history, the Brothers of the Xi Chapter of Psi Upsilon understand that our development and successes as an institution have occurred because the distinct, yet mutually beneficial environments of University and Fraternity have allowed our members to evolve from students into leaders. Ensuring this partnership into posterity is at the core of our mission as a Brotherhood. With steady pace, broad participation, and efficient management, we will achieve this mission.
