A Week of Community Service

Over the past week, the Xi Brotherhood participated in two very important community service events: Take Back the Night and The Relay For Life. There was a strong brotherhood presence during the Wesleyan Take Back the Night march, a nation-wide event which raises awareness about sexual assualt. Brothers also managed a table that provided drinks and snacks for everyone participating.

As a Brotherhood, we were also able to raise $1,550 for Relay for Life, a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. At the event, Brothers camped out overnight and took turns walking around the Wesleyan track to raise money and awareness to help the ACA create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

There was also great attendance this week for McDonough Elementary school recess participation. It cannot be stressed enough how much the kids at McDonough school enjoy our company and support as friends and role models. Overall, it was a fantastic week for community service.
