Chapter Achievements
1. Semesterly Public Service Dinner - Host a dinner for local public
servants (fire, police, campus public safety, town/city councils,
mayor, selectmen, emergency management). Honor the work that they do
for our community and build bridges between campus and community.
During Fall PS Dinner awarded plaque to retired police chief Lynn
Baldoni.
2. Winchester Dinner - Annual award to faculty member who best
embodies Psi U's virtues; one who best combines scholarly work with a
passion for teaching in a way that has profoundly benefited individual
students as well as the Wesleyan Community at-large. Awarded this year
to Professor David Pollack of the mathematics department
3. Academic Forum - Annual event to promote pursuit of wisdom among
brotherhood and in conjunction with campus and faculty. This year's
topic is the bipartisan political system of the United States and its
particular relevance to current events, featuring Professor Gil
Skillman of the Economics Department and Professor Elvin Lim of the
Government Department.
4. Recipient of Wesleyan's Greek Life award - "To recognize a student
or Greek organization that has demonstrated a clear commitment to
fulfilling the mission of the organization and has sponsored
community-wide social and educational events, and has helped the
Wesleyan/Middletown communities through service efforts/programs."
